The membrane-bound sorbosone dehydrogenase of Gluconacetobacter liquefaciens is a pyrroloquinoline quinone-dependent enzyme
Enzyme and Microbial Technology(2020)
Abstract
•Sorbosone dehydrogenase (SNDH) of Gluconacetobacter liquefaciens was characterized.•The SNDH activity is dependent on pyrroloquinoline quinone (PQQ).•Natural electron acceptor for SNDH is most likely membranous ubiquinone.•A structure was modeled with soluble PQQ-dependent pyranose dehydrogenase in silico.
