Abstract
Background: Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer among women with an increasing mortality rate for advanced disease. Nowadays neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) is well established as a treatment option in patients with large potentially operable and locally advanced breast cancer. It has become an accepted standard therapy. The purpose of this study was to identify significant factors predicting the response to NAC in breast cancer.
