Anti-inflammatory diterpenes and steroids from peels of the cultivated edible mushroom Wolfiporia cocos

•Two new abietane diterpenes and one new pregnane steroid were isolated from the peels of Wolfiporia cocos.•Compounds 15, 17 showed the strong cytotoxicity on K562 cell.•Compounds 1-10, 14 and 16 showed inhibitory activity on the NO release in LPS-induced RAW 264.7 cells.•This work confirms the potential of the peels of W. cocos in the treatment of infection diseases.
