•We develop a method to evaluate CDF against fault displacement.•We evaluate CDF at a hypothetical PWR NPP based on public information.•We confirm the feasibility of the method through the evaluation for dip-slip fault and strike-slip fault.•We grasp important accident scenarios and uncertainty factors.•We show improvement measures of the uncertainty factors.
