New Record Of Macrophthalmothrips Karny, 1922 (Thysanoptera: Phlaeothripidae) In China, With The First Description Of The Male Of M. Splendidus Ananthakrishnan, 1968

The genus Macrophthalmothrips Karny,1922 is recorded from China for the first time with M. splendidus Ananthakrishnan, 1968 from monsoon forest. The male is described and illustrated for the first time. The species is dimorphic, and characters are provided that differentiate M. splendidus from M. quadricolor Karny, 1923.
