Abstract
•ALD growth of TiO2 on a CNT scaffold produces a hybrid material.•Such architecture maximises surface area and minimises EIS-determined electronic resistance.•Photocatalytic H2 production is doubled compared to controls (0.07 μmol/min at 0.2 V vs Ag/AgCl).•Scanning photoelectron microscopy indicates an interfacial Ti–O–C bond and hybridisation.
