Abstract

•The new whitlockite-type AgCa10-xREx(PO4)7(RE = Sm, Dy) phosphors were prepared.•The optimal AgCa10(PO4)7:0.10Sm3+ phosphor shows good thermal stability.•The phosphor’s luminescent intensity maintains 90% when heat up from RT to 423 K.
