摘要

•Reliability of pollution removal in different seasons operation of CWs of HF type was analyzed.•CWs don’t provide stable and reliable of pollution removal.•The lowest reliability of the pollutants removal (especially N and P) were usually obtained in winter and spring.•One-stage CWs of HF type should not be recommended for wider use in temperate climate conditions.
