Abstract
In the field of linear displacement sensors, grating encoder, magnetic railings encoder and other linear displacement sensors have advantages of high accuracy and fast response, but the high cost limits their widespread use. Therefore, for the application occasions with long stroke, low precision requirement and low cost, a novel linear reluctance resolver is proposed in the paper, which has simpler structure and relatively low cost compared with traditional linear displacement sensors. In this paper, based on the analytical mathematical model of linear resolver, a simplified rotor structure is designed to perform harmonic analysis. The shape and position of side tooth are optimized and verified by the finite-element analysis to eliminate the edge effect. Finally, the linear resolver prototype is tested. The results of simulation and experiment prove the correctness and feasibility of the linear resolver designed in the paper.
