An improved approach to prepare triazole protective film by click-assembly on copper surface

Abstract
Triazole (TTE) film is assembled on copper surface via click chemistry reaction between p-toluenesulfonyl azide (TA) and 3-butyne-1-ol (BTO). The mechanism of promoting the formation of TIM film by sodium thioacetate (STG) is investigated by electrochemical methods and surface analysis techniques. It shows STG coordinates with Cu(I) to avoid the salvation reaction of Cu(I) in aqueous solution. The STG-Cu(I) complex is an excellent catalyst for the click reaction between TA and BTO. The presence of STG promotes the click-assembly process on copper surface and improves the protection of TTE film against copper corrosion effectively.
