•LOC of xE=10% and xE=20% is obtained on the rich and stoichiometric side.•The expanding flame tend to be unstable under higher oxygen content.•The decreasing burning velocity results in the reduction of explosion intensity.•The reactions affecting laminar burning velocity include R1, R904, R925 and R963.
