Abstract
Effects of dynamical deformation on the potential energy surface and the mass distribution in multinucleon , transfer (MNT) reactions Xe-136 + Pb-208, Xe-136 + Pt-198 are studied in the framework of the dinuclear system concept. Considering the dynamical deformation rather than the ground-state deformation of the two interacting nuclei, the products distribution could be estimated in agreement with experimental data, especially in the region far from the incident channel. On this basis, the orientation effect on the final isotopic production is discussed. The present calculation supports the tendency of the MNT reaction to maintain a larger production of neutronrich isotones around N = 126, compared with the fragmentation reaction.
