Optimization of vapor anode multi-tube alkali metal thermoelectric converter based on an integrated model

•An integrated model was developed for the Alkali Metal Thermoelectric Converter.•The integrated model includes: thermal model, electric model, pressure loss model.•The view factors are calculated by RadCAD based on Monte-Carlo ray-tracing technique.•An integrative optimization of the AMTEC cell is performed by the integrated model.•Power output and conversion efficiency of the AMTEC cell were improved significantly.
