Lamellae of waste beverage packaging (Tetra Pak) and gamma radiation as tools for improvement of concrete

•Cement concrete with lamellae of waste Tetra Pak packaging was elaborated.•Effects of gamma radiation and waste lamellae concentration were studied.•Improvement of 39 % on the compressive strength was obtained.•Elasticity modulus was improved up to 30 % respect to concrete without waste lamellae.•Structural changes on the lamellae of waste Tetra Pak were related to mechanical properties.
