摘要

•Pure and Pd decorated ZnO nanobelts were produced in view of gas-sensor application.•ZnO nanobelts were fabricated by pulsed laser deposition.•The response towards acetone at room temperature was improved by decoration with Pd.•The improvement is associated with the increase of adsorption centers on the surface.
