摘要
A new model of particle-bubble collision efficiency (Pc) has been developed for immobile bubble surfaces. Two theoretical models of Pc (Schulze and Generalized Sutherland Equation, GSE) were compared with experimental data reported by Afruns and Kitchener (1976) and Yoon and Luttrell (1989). Significant deviations between theoretical and experimental Pc values were obtained. A new Pc model was then developed to describe the experimental data. The model structure was based on that proposed by Yoon and Luttrell (1989), including the particle inertia. The model parameters were obtained by regression on the experimental Pc values. The results show that Pc can be represented by the new approach. Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modelling was also carried out to estimate Pc. CFD results were compared with the new model, showing that the new approach can be applied for immobile bubble surfaces under particle and bubble sizes <40 μm and 1.5 mm, respectively.
