Shear layer of inclined jets in crossflow studied with spectral proper erthogonal decomposition and spectral transfer entropy

摘要
•The shear layer in realistic film cooling flows exhibits a broadband spectrum.•SPOD shows that dynamical modes in the hole are correlated with shear layer motion.•Transfer entropy on spectral data shows that oscillations in the hole cause those in the shear layer.•Such information transfer happens through the phase of the vortical motions.
