Abstract
•The substructuring based model order reduction is applied for efficient topology optimization.•Pseudo loads along interfaces are applied for the Ritz vector based model order reduction.•Subdomains are efficiently optimized.•The present MOR approach is analyzed in comparison to the full analysis approach.•The results show that the present substructuring based topology optimization is highly competitive with the conventional approach.
