Morphology-dependent NiMoO4/carbon composites for high performance supercapacitors

•Honeycomb and microrod-like NiMoO4/MWCNTs electrode material was prepared.•We give a novel method to adjust the electrochemical performance of NiMoO4 materials.•Experiments on capacitors prepared with NiMoO4 materials.•The positive synergistic effect of NiMoO4 and MWCNTs was the main reason for its superior capacitive performance.
