A Flexible Chemical Battery Chip Activated by Finger Pressure

Here we proposed a flexible chemical battery applicable for wearable devices. We chose a zinc-copper primary battery as the energy supply system, nylon wire as the micro-channel material and polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) as the packaging material. The size of the device is 20.2 mm × 39.7 mm × 3.7 mm, while the effective size is 16.0 mm × 22.0 mm × 3.7 mm. The battery is activated by a simple finger press right before being used. The working voltage is up to 1.95 V, and it can provide a continuous power supply of 1.4 V for 10 h. The battery has the advantages of flexibility and easy fabrication.
