New Half-Cylinder Microstrip Fed Dielectric Resonator Antennas with Improved Impedance Bandwidth

Abstract
Investigations on dielectric resonator antennas using half cylinder high dielectric constant are presented in this paper. It is shown that modes of such resonators can be coupled resulting in a increased impedance bandwidth without significant changes in polarization and antenna characteristics for several working frequencies. The proposed antennas are atractive for applications in International Scientific and Medical band.
