Abstract
•No significant correlation between Xenobiotic- Metabolizing Genes (EPHX1 and NQO1, PON1) polymorphisms and the risk of B-NHL.•PON1 homozygosity (GG) was significantly higher in the control group compared to B-NHL patients. Analysis of risk estimate showed that PON1 polymorphisms couldn't be a genetic risk factor for B-NHL.•Genetic polymorphisms results were debatable among different ethnicities. It could be attributed to the geographical areas were different studies were conducted.•Further studies including larger cohorts are highly recommended for better understanding of the environmental risk factors and their implications on the disease pathogenesis.
