Abstract
•We conducted a review to synthesize factors driving post-fire ponderosa pine regeneration.•Three of the 21 synthesized factors emerged as strong drivers of regeneration.•Areas closer to seed sources commonly have more regeneration than areas further away.•Higher elevations generally harbor more regeneration than lower elevations.•Low climatic stress areas tend to have higher regeneration than high stress areas.
