Overall Control Architecture of VSC based MV and LVDC Distribution and Utilization Systems

摘要
Along with more penetration of the renewable energy sources and DC loads, Voltage source converter (VSC) based medium voltage (MV) and low voltage (LV) DC distribution and utilization system is a very promising option in the future. This paper proposes an overall control architecture for VSC-MV/LV DC distribution and utilization system. It consists of three control levels, the top level is the optimal control, the intermediate level is the unified control and the bottom level is the distributed autonomous control. Besides, the demonstration of VSC-MV/LV DC distribution and utilization system in Suzhou, China, is briefly introduced. Moreover, the multi-functional control of the optimal and unified control are discussed in details.
