Investigation of rejuvenation and modification of aged asphalt binders by using aromatic oil-SBS polymer blend

•Compound rejuvenator enhanced softening point and ductility of aged bitumen.•Polymer modification effect was distinguished by phase angle master curves.•SBS polymer was a good supplement to balance the overall performance.•Aged asphalt binders can be rejuvenated and modified simultaneously.
