摘要
•In mice with a non-functional SCN clock (SCN-KO), metabolic rhythms are retained in light-dark, but not in constant darkness (DD) conditions.•Normal body weight regulation and glucose utilization do not require a functional SCN clock.•Restoring peripheral clock gene expression rhythms via time-restricted feeding restores metabolic homeostasis in SCN-KO mice in DD.
