Abstract
The purpose of present study was to acquire the knowledge about the phase noise of Sentinel-1 satellite, acquiring C-band SAR imagery since 2016. Firstly, the coherence was estimated for 6 pairs of images at Tsukuba study site, and the relationships between the coherence and the baseline were evaluated. Then, we estimated the errors of DEMs of the fixed ground objects produced by the interferometric analysis. Further, we evaluated the relationships between the errors of DEMs and the height of ambiguity, and finally the phase noise was estimated based on the developed methods by the authors. The result showed that the phase noise of Sentinel-1 was about 11 %, about 6 times larger than PAL SAR-2.
