Prevalence, features and predictive factors of liver nodules in Fontan surgery patients: The VALDIG Fonliver prospective cohort.

•Liver nodules are frequent in Fontan patients.•Some liver nodules may go unnoticed on abdominal ultrasound.•The risk of hepatocellular carcinoma is low but present.•Arterial hyperenhancement and washout are not specific for hepatocellular carcinoma in this population.•Fontan patients with hepatocellular carcinoma present with suspicious radiological features and elevated alpha-fetoprotein.
