摘要
•Two truncated structural units, BLF1-C and BLF1-N were identified in BLF1 protein.•BLF1-C elicited comparatively elevated levels of cytokines and CD4+ /CD8+ T cells.•BLF1-C provided higher protection in mice against lethal challenge with BLF1 toxin.•We also report that BLF1 cause pathological changes in lungs, spleen and kidney.
