Because EHR use is time-consuming, pediatric ophthalmologists frequently adopt strategies such as copy-paste and templates, which create long, redundant documentation. This study uses data analytic methods to quantitatively assess the prevalence of imported content in progress notes, and the proportion of prior notes opened.
