Field detection and classification of citrus Huanglongbing based on hyperspectral reflectance

•A field detection method of citrus Huanglongbing based on hyperspectral data was investigated.•To recognize asymptomatic leaves from healthy one so that explore an early detection method.•The band selection method based on entropy distance and sequence backward selection was developed.•Different feature extraction and machine learners were compared to model the different groups of the disease.
