Abstract
•LDMC-SO3H is prepared by EISA using industrial lignin as carbon source.•LDMC-SO3H has a relatively appropriate specific surface area and mesopore volume.•LDMC-SO3H contains a suitable sulfonic acid density and ordered mesoporous structure.•The cellulose was isolated and extracted from bagasse by using deep eutectic solvent.•LDMC-SO3H exhibits excellent catalytic performance and reusability in this work.
