Intake, milk production and grazing behaviour responses of strip-grazing dairy goats to daily access time to pasture and to dehydrated lucerne supplementation

•Milk production was unaffected by the restriction of access time to pasture.•Milk production increased by 0.82 kg/d per kg DM of dehydrated lucerne.•Pasture intake decreased between 11 and 7 h/d of access time.•Pasture intake rate tended to increase between 11 and 7 h/d of access time.•Substitution rate between pasture and dehydrated lucerne was 0.72.
