Study On Variable Step Sliding-Mode Based Mppt For Pv Array

Based on the output characteristics of photovoltaic array and the principle of sliding mode variable structure control, the MPPT algorithm for photovoltaic power generation is studied in this paper. A variable step sliding mode control MPPT algorithm is proposed. The variable step-sliding mode controller is realized by using MATLAB/Simulink and the simulation is carried out. The simulation and experimental results show that the variable step sliding mode controller has a good tracking performance for the maximum power point of the PV array and the sliding state moving, parameter selection method are reasonable.
