Research On Reactive Power Compensation System Of Offshore Wind Farm

Large-scale wind power development is an important strategic choice in China's new era. In this paper, firstly, we give a brief introduction of offshore wind farm and the specificity of its electrical structure. Then, we elaborate the necessity for conducting reactive power compensation from two aspects, including operation modes, power grid regulations in china and abroad. At last, we discuss about the reactive power compensation strategies one by one in combination with the actual experience of overseas engineering.
