A novel intercooled series expansion refrigeration/liquefaction cycle using pinch technology

Based on an analysis of pinch technology, a novel intercooled series expansion refrigeration/liquefaction cycle is proposed and analyzed. In the intercooled series expansion refrigerator/liquefier, the expander and heat exchanger are connected in serial.
