Abstract
•We used RNA sequencing to examine the transcriptome profiles of 7 adipose tissues of Bactrian camel.•Based on RNA-Seq and Real-time PCR, differentially expressed genes (DEGs) in camel hump (subcutaneous fat) were identified.•The fore hump may be important for Bactrian camel's survival.
