Abstract
•Pt nanoclusters are shown to preferentially form at MOF crystallite edge sites indicative of Pt-MOF-74 ligand formation.•Propylene oxide conversion and propylene carbonate selectivity were shown systematically increase with Pt loading.•A synergetic effect was observed between the Pt10/Mg-MOF-74 catalyst and the co-catalyst solvents used to activate CO2.
