One Year Data Analysis of De Novo Acute Leukemias in Armenia

Retrospective data analysis of all de novo Acute Leukemia patients first diagnosed in 2017 in Hematology Center After Prof. Yeolyan. In total 69 cases of de novo Acute Leukemias were observed in 2017 in Armenia. 37 males (53.6%) and 32 females (46.4%) with the median age of 49.9 years old (youngest 19 and oldest 84). 22 patients were diagnosed with ALL and 47 with AML (including 3 cases of APL). Hyperleukocytosis was seen in 21 patients (WBC >100.000). 13 cases of death (18.8%) during diagnostics and early induction were documented. 15 patients (21.7%) refused treatment due different reasons (financial, religious, will to be treated in another country). 28 (40.6%) underwent into remission after the first induction chemotherapy course (various protocols have been used: adapted to the country, center and dependent from the financial state of the patients).
