Abstract
Childhood cancer overall survival has increased due to treatment and outcomes improvements. However, long-term adverse effects are a challenge for this population. Secondary hematologic neoplasm (SHN) is one of the serious complications of solid tumor treatment (chemotherapy and radiotherapy). Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) are the most common SHN.
