High-resolution angular measurement arithmetic based on pixel interpolations

•We built a small size high resolution measurement method which works via a linear image sensor.•We inserted interpolations between pixels to reduce errors caused by low resolution of sensor.•The simulation and experiment show that the proposed measurement method has good performance.
