Design and synthesis of chiral hyperbranched polymers containing cinchona squaramide moieties and their catalytic activity in the asymmetric Michael addition reaction

•Chiral hyperbranched polymers (HBPs) having cinchona squaramide were synthesized.•Excellent catalytic activity of HBPs in asymmetric Michael addition.•Almost perfect enantioselectivity (>99% ee) achieved in the reaction.•Robustness and reusability without any significant decrease in catalytic activity.
