•Palladium (Pd) decoration on La0.6Sr0.4CoO3-δ (LSC) with different loadings (5 to 30 wt.%) to improved its Oxygen Reduction Reaction (ORR) activity.•The Pd decoration certainly tends to yield higher specific surface area.•Pd loaded La0.6Sr0.4CoO3-δ (LSC) (5 < 10 < 20 < 30 wt.%) exhibits superior performance.•Pd loaded La0.6Sr0.4CoO3-δ (LSC) composite outperformed native materials like LSC and KB.
