La Farmacia en la Sección de Químicas de la Real Academia de Ciencias de Francia (1666-1793)

Some aspects of the connexion between chemistry and pharmacy are considered under the framework of the Royal Academy of Sciences of France (1666-1793). Pharmacists have been active elements in the constitution, operation and management of important scientific societies. The contribution of apothecary and chemically formed doctors to chemistry is notorious and deserves to be highlighted. Pharmacists in teaching public and private courses, help to contextualize and spread the chemical knowledge. A brief monographic study of the most representative pharmacists of this period is carried out, e.g. Lemery, Geoffroy the elder, Rouelle the elder and Baume.
