Construction of dendritic structure by nano-SiO2 derivate grafted with hyperbranched polyamide in aramid fiber to simultaneously improve its mechanical and compressive properties

•Three-dimensional dendritic structure has been constructed in aramid fiber.•Compressive strength of aramid fiber can be enhanced by nearly 114%.•Tensile strength and modulus of the fiber are improved as well.
