Modeling and simulation of the performances of the reverse osmosis membrane

The desalination of seawater and brackish water has becomes an increasingly important as well as effective process against the shortage of freshwater resources in the whole world, especially in the Saharan and the MENA regions, this shortage of freshwater resources is the result of increasing global warming and climate change that are constantly rising the salinity level of the seawaters along with reducing the availability of existing freshwater. The membrane desalination process has a high technological development, including reverse osmosis membranes (RO), which represents a new sustainable water resource implementation.
