摘要
The double stator switched reluctance motor (DSSRM) has a high motional force efficiency relative to the conventional switched reluctance motor (SRM), but like the conventional SRM, it exhibits high propensity for torque ripple. With the intent to reduce torque ripple while maintaining average torque, a mechanical offset between inner and outer stators is analyzed and evaluated. A 4-phase radial-flux DSSRM using full pitch winding is chosen for analysis. The motor is simulated using finite element analysis software and results are verified experimentally. The torque ripple and mean torque are analyzed in saturated and unsaturated conditions.
