Abstract
Purpose: In this research, we propose the possibility of developing various marginal performance using ‘domestic circuit’ which can reduce time and economic cost compared to Nürburgring Circuit in vehicle development. This has helped to establish marginal driving performance and durability test guidelines for automobiles, auto parts, and tuning companies using domestic circuits.BRMethods: We measured the engine, transmission temperature using vertical force, longitudinal force, lateral load, and temperature sensor, and compared the maximum values of engine RPM, vehicle speed, torque, steering angle, and wheel speed through vehicle CAN signal.BRResults: We compared the degree of severity of domestic circuit and Nürburgring circuit in terms of high power turn-in, spike, lateral force, and sudden braking. Through this, the guideline of the test method using the domestic circuit was presented for each characteristic.BRConclusion: The Korea International Circuit is harsh in terms of powertrain temperature load, and Inje Speedium Circuit is harsh in terms of lateral load. It is possible to develop the marginal performance by utilizing the characteristics of each domestic circuit.
