摘要

•BiFeO3 nanoparticles have been obtained using an impinging-jets microreactor.•The synthesized BiFeO3 particles sized around 20 nm are single-crystalline.•The BiFeO3 nanoparticles have been produced to contain no other impurity phases.•A mechanism of nanoparticles formation in vortices of the minimum Kolmogorov scale is suggested.
