Abstract
•Nondestructive UV laser effect on films of Ln(III) β-diketonate complexes is shown.•Vitrified Eu(CPDK3-7)3phen film (sandwiched between quartz plates) was prepared.•Eu3+ ions had been used to monitor UV laser-induced photophysical processes in film.•Changes in energy transfer and non-radiative relaxation processes were revealed.•Film structural changes are considered as responsible for observed phenomenon.
